2025 proved to be a year of consolidation and structural growth for Cambi Casa d’Aste, which closed the financial year with a total turnover of €42.45 million, over 33,000 lots offered and a percentage of sales by value equal to 107%, confirming the solidity of the model and its ability to meet an increasingly selective and international demand.
During the year, 112 auctions were organized, 63 of which were online, with Ancient Art accounting for 50% of turnover, followed by Modern Art (33%) and Luxury (17%), creating a virtuous balance between tradition, modernity, and high-end collecting.

“2025 was a very positive year because it confirmed one of Cambi Casa d’Aste’s fundamental strengths: the completeness and balance of our offering,” said Matteo Cambi, President of Cambi Casa d’Aste. “The three major macro-categories—Ancient Arts, Modern Arts, and Luxury—showed solid and consistent performance, appealing to different but complementary collectors and sensibilities.”

In terms of turnover, the leading department in 2025 is Design with $6.7 million, followed by Numismatics with $6 million. In third place is Modern and Contemporary Art with $4.5 million, and in fourth place is Old Master Paintings and Drawings with $4 million. Jewelry and Precious Objects also performed well, with total turnover of $4 million, as did Antiques, with total turnover of $3.5 million.

The year was also marked by numerous sales exceeding €100,000, spread across eight departments—from Modern and Contemporary Art to Design, Watches, Jewelry, and Numismatics, from Oriental Art to Old Master Paintings, to Majolica and Porcelain – reflecting a market increasingly oriented towards quality, rarity, and specialization.

Among the top lots, a pair of vases attributed to the Sèvres Manufactory sold for €466,100, works by Piero Manzoni, Gerardo Dottori, Paolo Scheggi, important collectible clocks, and masterpieces of ancient art.

“Rather than talking about sectors that are growing or declining, today it is more accurate to talk about quality, rarity, and historical solidity,” Cambi emphasizes. “The market is increasingly attentive to cultural value and penalizes anything that fails to clearly stand out.”

We are already looking ahead to 2026, with a calendar that reflects the same strategic vision. The year will begin on January 27 with the Fine Design auction, which will feature several important collections with works by Dottori, Borsani, Crespi, Ponti, and Bugatti. The Photography auction will also return, with an important group of works from the Feltrinelli Foundation.

Following the success of previous editions, Cambi will hold a new numismatic auction and a new edition of Fine Selection of ancient art in Milan, alongside the Genoa antiques auctions, including Dimore Italiane, a format that enhances the dialogue between works of art, architecture, and excellence in collecting.

“Our goal is to do even better, strengthening and expanding our offering with new experiments,” concludes Matteo Cambi, “in order to respond more and more precisely to the needs of our customers and the market, both in Italy and abroad.”
