It will be held in Milan next 5th of October 5, 2016, at the Hotel Principe di Savoia, the first charity event that will aim to raise funds to support the young Tibetan monks, students at the monastery in Dharamsala, India.
It is an extraordinary event that will precede by just a few days the visit to Italy of His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama, on the 21st and 22nd of October 2016.
The evening, organized by the Ghe Pel Ling Onlus, presented by Lama Rinpoche and Thamthog Khenrab Rinpoche, with the participation of Vittorio Sgarbi and Nina Senicar will be the perfect opportunity to spread the Tibetan Buddhist tradition which is starting to be of great interest to scientists, intellectuals, Western psychologists and psychiatrists, but more importantly to help young student monks in need of training, teaching materials, advanced facilities and technology, difficult to find without real help.
The sophisticated thinking of the great Tibetan Masters is now in the hands of the young student monks.
Illuminated by nature, free from dogmas and conventions, the millennial Tibetan thought developed in the monastic universities, now has meant that for over thirty years, many of the world’s leading universities (from Harvard to University of Trento, from the one in Vienna to Emory University, to name just a few) have opened an exchange channel of cultural, scientific and spiritual cooperation, aiming to strengthen the dialogue and mutual learning.
It’s clearly very important that the young Tibetan monks, safeguarding the immense wealth of the Buddhist mind, can continue to “cross that bridge” of knowledge, for the benefit of our future generations. An opportunity not to be missed for global growth.
The Ghe Pel Ling ONLUS, created by the will of the Venerable Thamthog Rinpoche, spiritual guide along with Khenrab Venerable Rinpoche, is from the early 2006 the landmark for the projects for Tibetan monks in exile.
During the evening will be sold in auction by Cambi Auction House, artworks by important artists (Joseph Beuys, Marco Bagnoli, David Casini, Giorgio Forattini, Carlo Gavazzeni Ricordi, Luca Guaitamacchi, Vedovamazzei, Jerry Mulligan, Marta Pierobon, David Tremlett), valuable objects, tickets for exclusive events and stays in prestigious locations, artists photos, designer jewelry.

“The material development can certainly contribute to a certain degree of happiness, but its not enough. To reach a more profound level of happiness we cannot ignore the interior development that derives from a precise mind knowledge. In this way, I feel that my tradition is precious for alla of us and that it has very much to offer to the next generations.”
– Lama Thamthog Rinpoche, XIII Thamthog
